Starred by the ever-versatile Natalie Portman, this movie is about a ballet dancer who works her way up as a lead role for the ballet performance, Black Swan. Mila Kunis co-stars as a ballet dancer as well. I didn’t really know that the two beautiful actresses can dance ballet but it quite figures as to it based on their body structures.

*spoiler alert!*

The story starts with Nina (Portman) as she was given to be the swan (both white and black) on a presentation, which is important for all ballet dancers — to be the lead role. She strives her way up to be as perfect as what her instructor wants her to be. Mila Kunis’ role spirals on her way because Nina thinks others want to take that spot from her.

I won’t be revealing much since I sort of forgot the exact details but for some parts of the movie, I feel thrilled to wait for the next scene. There were even parts wherein I thought there would be a ghost haunting Nina or something ‘coz the “color” of the film is kinda dark. Natalie Portman’s acting is superb, as usual. Mile Kunis maintained that spunky, tough and cool being her face gives off. Is that right? LMAO. The movie’s setting is limited but it’s sort of good and it makes up for it especially if you’re into deep stuff. I give it a rating of 7/10, which is good and highly recommended.
